This week was again a pretty slow week. With Christmas this week and family obligations, there was not much to report.
Training
This week I ran 29.79 miles in 5:08:34. As you may notice, I didn’t have a long run this week like usual. With all the family events and work and things going on, I think I was just burned out. I felt terrible when I woke up Sunday, so i decided to not do the long run. Later in the day I felt better so I did end up doing a shorter tempo run in the afternoon. The tempo run was great actually. I managed to run under 8:00 mins the last mile of 4 miles, so I was happy with that.
New Gear
With Christmas this week, I got a couple of new running gear items. I got a new cook book, Racing Weight Cookbook: Lean, Light Recipes for Athletes by Matt Fitzgerald and Georgie Fear. I flipped through it and it looks like there are some great recipes, so I am looking forward to that.
I also got and a pair of Yurbuds Ironman Inspire PRO Sport Earphones with 1-Button Control and Mic. I then also ended up buying another pair of Yurbuds for cheap. I got the Yurbuds Inspire 400 at a local store. I did run with the 400s on my Sunday run, and I like them. I will have a full review in the future, but so far, so good on the Yurbuds.
